Primary Supply Teacher – Durham

Location: Durham, County Durham
Salary: £130 – £155 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Flexible (Day-to-day, short-term, and long-term opportunities)
Start Date: Ongoing from September 2026

We’re seeking enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Durham, supporting pupils in their learning and development while enjoying the flexibility to choose when and where you work.

About the Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, with your preferred year groups taken into consideration.
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments, classroom routines, and teaching styles.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support pupils’ learning, progress, and wellbeing in line with school policies.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and school leaders.

About You

We’re looking for teachers who are:

  • Qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experienced in teaching within primary education across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality education.
  • Confident adapting to new classrooms and school settings.
  • Hold (or are willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
