The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups.

  • Encourage children to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

  • Provide additional support for pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where appropriate.

  • Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.

  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure every child reaches their potential.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children in a primary school, nursery or educational setting.

  • Is patient, caring and passionate about supporting young learners.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

  • Is reliable, adaptable and able to work using their own initiative.

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
