We are working with a fantastic primary school in Sheffield that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout the school day by:

• Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and creative lessons.

• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.

• Encouraging children's confidence, independence and love of learning.

• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring every child can access the curriculum.

• Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions.

• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing.

• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with daily classroom routines.

• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working within a UK primary school.

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A positive, proactive and flexible attitude.

• Confidence supporting children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

• Knowledge of phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle is advantageous.

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
