Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering innovative products from concept through to launch?

We're recruiting on behalf of a global technology manufacturer that is recognised for developing cutting-edge engineering solutions used across multiple international markets. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled R&D environment where you'll take ownership of complex New Product Development (NPD) projects, working alongside engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams to bring innovative products to market.

The Opportunity

As Senior Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of multiple New Product Development programmes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide leadership, drive collaboration and ensure robust project governance throughout the entire product lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced technology environment where no two projects are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through to production.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, resource plans and risk registers.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive adherence to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and continuously improve project delivery practices.
  • Build strong relationships with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency and speed to market.
  • Report project progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who has successfully delivered complex engineering or technology-based projects within a New Product Development environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Degree qualification in an Engineering, Science or other STEM discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience managing New Product Development (NPD) projects.
  • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and resources.
  • A structured approach to planning, governance and risk management.
  • Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent (desirable).

Experience within advanced manufacturing, electronics, medical devices, scientific instrumentation, industrial technology, aerospace or similar engineering sectors would be highly advantageous.
