Be Part of Something Bigger

We are recruiting on behalf of an exceptional secondary school in Manchester that believes every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their starting point.

This is not simply a Teaching Assistant role. It's an opportunity to join a school community where ambition is celebrated, diversity is embraced, and staff are genuinely invested in helping students achieve remarkable outcomes.

The school has built an outstanding reputation for creating an environment where students feel valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. Staff work collaboratively, relationships matter, and there is a genuine sense of purpose throughout the school. Students are encouraged to be ambitious, respectful, and proud of their achievements, creating a positive atmosphere that is felt from the moment you walk through the doors.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you'll work across Mathematics, Science, Computing and related subjects, supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.

You'll help break down barriers to learning, build student confidence, and inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, mathematicians and technology professionals.

This role is ideal for graduates considering:

  • Teacher Training
  • Educational Psychology
  • STEM Outreach

  • Careers in Education

We're Looking For

  • A graduate in a STEM-related subject (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science or similar)
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive and resilient attitude
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people
  • Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching or youth work experience is welcomed but not essential

Why Graduates Love Working Here

  • High-performing and ambitious secondary school
  • Inclusive and welcoming culture
  • Outstanding support from experienced teachers and leaders
  • Structured training and development opportunities
  • Access to modern STEM facilities and resources

  • Strong focus on staff wellbeing
  • Opportunities to progress into teacher training programmes
  • Free on-site parking

The Impact You'll Make

Every day you'll help students develop confidence in subjects that can shape their futures. Whether you're supporting a Year 7 student with numeracy skills or helping GCSE students prepare for important exams, you'll play a vital role in helping young people realise their potential.

If you're a STEM graduate looking for a meaningful role with purpose, challenge and genuine career development opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
