Graduate Maths Teacher Training Opportunity (Salaried Route)

KPI Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in the Wye area to appoint a motivated and academically strong Mathematics graduate to join their teacher training pathway from September 2026.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a graduate who is considering a long-term career in teaching and is keen to develop classroom experience while working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through a structured, salaried school-based programme.

The Role

As a Graduate Maths Trainee Teacher, you will be integrated into a successful Maths department and supported throughout your development. Your responsibilities will gradually increase as your confidence grows, including:

  • Supporting and delivering Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Working with small groups and individual students to improve understanding and progress.
  • Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and assessments.
  • Developing your classroom presence through structured observation and co-teaching.
  • Receiving weekly training focused on behaviour management, pedagogy, and curriculum delivery.
  • Progressively taking on full lesson responsibilities under expert supervision.

This position is designed to build your teaching skills step by step, ensuring you are fully prepared for Qualified Teacher Status by the end of the programme.

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (minimum 2:1 preferred).
  • GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
  • A genuine interest in working with young people and pursuing a teaching career.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A professional, resilient, and committed approach to learning and development.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Prior experience in education or working with young people is beneficial but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
