The Opportunity

We're recruiting for an experienced electrical maintenance technician to join a leading, state of the art chemicals producer in Trafford Park.

The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across a COMAH facility. The role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operation of plant equipment by performing planned preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and supporting improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out the planned and breakdown maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and control equipment, installations, and systems in a Chemical Manufacturing facility.
• Working to the site permit to work system including the accepting of permits to work.
• Using the company ERP system for the ordering of materials and services.
• Using the Engineering Management System for processing work orders, preventive maintenance planning and the recording of time.
• Assisting in any other engineering activity across the site.
• Standing in for the E/I Engineering Coordinator during absence.

About You

• Time served Electrical Engineer from an industrial, process, paper, chemicals, power generation or similar industry.
• You will ideally come from a similar role where continuous improvement is key.
• Ideally you will have 18^th edition.
