About the Role

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech & language needs, and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring student progress, recording observations and helping adapt strategies where needed.
  • Building strong, positive relationships that foster independence and emotional resilience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
  • A calm, empathetic and proactive approach when managing challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
  • Commitment to professional growth – ideal for candidates considering teacher training, assistant psychologist roles, or postgraduate study in psychology.

  • Ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities to observe experienced professionals.
  • A chance to work in a diverse, community-focused school with a strong focus on student wellbeing.
