RMS Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical engineering projects across a range of building types, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake the design of engineering works in accordance with relevant standards and best practice.
  • Assist in the management and coordination of the in-house design team and junior staff members.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed reports, estimates, calculations, drawings, and specifications for the design of mechanical building services.
  • Design and develop systems such as heating, domestic water, ventilation, air conditioning, natural gas, control and renewable energy system and their integration into a variety of building types
  • Monitor site works to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and other members of the design team.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, demonstrating professionalism and technical expertise.
  • Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably allocated in the interests of the practice.


About You

  • HNC Qualified
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is advantageous.
  • Experience with Hevacomp and IES software is desirable.
  • Strong IT literacy and the ability to learn new software quickly as required.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong self-discipline and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Focused on delivering client requirements promptly, accurately, and efficiently.
