Due to the rural location of our client you need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

The rate of pay as a Food Production Operative is:

• £11.70 p/h

Duties and responsibilities as a Food Production Operative include:

• To unload and store the daily loads of raw milk coming into the factory, ensuring they are tested for antibiotic, temp, freeze point, fats and proteins. Protocol must be followed.
• Recording the information of milk intake to ensure complete traceability. (tanker detail, quantity, date, and silo)
• Working with the pasteuriser operator to ensure stock rotation of milk is maintained.
• Working with the lab to support cheese sampling for Chemistry.
• Keep your manager informed of any issues with deliveries.

The ideal candidate for a Food Production Operative would need:

• Knowledge of dairy plant operations.
• Good numeration, technical and literacy skills.
• Able to work under pressure and on their own initiative
• An ability to work as part of a team.
