A Central London Borough is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor with us, you will play a pivotal role in the administration of contractors and suppliers for multi-million-pound term contracts, ensuring auditory assurance and value for money checks to safeguard public funds

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Administration: Manage and oversee contractors and suppliers for our property service contracts. Utilize your contract expertise to ensure compliance and effectiveness in delivering services to our community.
• Internal Auditing: Conduct internal audits, reviewing operational activities such as pricing, authorizations, and Schedule of Rates (SORs). Your meticulous analysis will contribute to optimizing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Commercial Manager to complete monthly commercial priorities, ensuring the smooth flow of financial processes. Administer contractor invoices efficiently and accurately.
• Workload Management: Demonstrate your ability to manage your own workload, which may involve variable priorities, in accordance with term partnering contracts. Uphold the highest standards of ethics and fairness in all your activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, including heads of service, budget holders, and department directors. Your communication skills will be crucial in maintaining effective working relationships.
• Partnership: Collaborate seamlessly with our Council colleagues, fostering a spirit of teamwork and shared goals to provide the best possible services to our community.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, and internal auditing.
• Knowledge of contract management best practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ethical and fair approach to all professional responsibilities.
