Our client, the South African Sugar Association (SASA) has a temporary position available for a Management Accounting Officer based in Mount Edgecombe, KwaZulu- Natal

The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Planning Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for specific SASA budgets, including the preparation, managing and periodic reporting on these budgets, in close consultation with the relevant internal and external stakeholders, departmental managers and/or divisional heads
• Provide financial advice and guidance to departmental managers regarding budget phasing and utilisation
• Assume responsibility for key financial and administration functions provided by the centralised team

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• National Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Financial or Management Accounting
• A minimum of two years budget administration experience in a centralised financial environment of a medium to large organisation, with a proven track and a thorough understanding of financial and cost management accounting practices and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Syspro or equivalent with an excel based reporting tool

Knowledge and Skills:

• Exceptional planning, organisational and self-management skills
• Team player and comfortable with written and verbal communication and interaction with senior internal and external stakeholders
• Strong preference for working in an environment with established standards, guidelines, policies and procedures
• Pays close attention to detail and is thorough and meticulous and takes pride in the presentation of their deliverables
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
