The Learning Disabilities Team Leader job role is as follows:

  • Provide Personal & Health care needs to Service users
  • Completing and maintaining detailed records, reports and notes
  • Lead and support a team whilst acting a responsible personal on shift when required
  • Supporting the registered manager in day to day running of the home
  • Supporting people to achieve their goals and live the best life possible
  • Assisting with internal & external activities/hobbies of the service user
  • General domestic duties
  • Communicating with residents’ family and friends
  • Being as proactive as possible when on shift and using own initiative

An ideal candidate for The Learning Disabilities Support Worker will have all or most of the following characteristics:

  • Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community
  • Has experience supporting people with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours, physical disabilities, brain injuries and other complex needs
  • Is keen to learn, develop and further their professional understanding of the care sector
  • Is looking for an opportunity that rewards good work with career progression
  • An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support
  • Ability to work shifts
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification
  • Good communication skills
  • Have supervisory/management experience
  • A driving license & access to your own vehicle would be a bonus
