About the Role:

Are you passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Cardiff, Wales starting in September. An earlier start date may be permitted.  This is a rewarding role where you’ll support students with various educational needs, helping them to thrive in a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering personalized support for students with a range of special educational needs.

• Provide one-on-one support for students during lessons, activities, and daily routines.

• Create and maintain a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere.

• Help students build confidence, social skills, and develop their emotional well-being.

• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality education.

• Assist in preparing and organizing classroom materials and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

• No formal qualifications required—we welcome applicants with a passion for education and working with children.

• Experience in a similar role or working with children is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
