Senior Process Engineer - Sales Gas Operations

Location: Doha, Qatar

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with deep technical experience in gas processing operations to support and enhance the performance of Sales Gas Joint Ventures (JVs) and DPSA assets. This role is responsible for analyzing operational data, benchmarking facility performance, and recommending optimization strategies in alignment with sustainability and asset management goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monitoring and analysis of mass and energy balances across Sales Gas JV and DPSA facilities to identify gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Perform process simulations using HYSYS and related software to validate process parameters and operational performance.
• Analyze historical and real-time production data, including shutdowns, to identify reliability issues and debottlenecking opportunities.
• Support implementation of energy efficiency and flaring/GHG emission reduction initiatives aligned with climate strategy.
• Conduct or support audits of JV reporting systems to ensure compliance with procedures and international standards.
• Apply internal benchmarking tools to assess OPEX/CAPEX cost efficiency and identify performance gaps across assets.
• Participate in or lead concept selection reviews to ensure best practice designs and alignment with environmental and safety standards.
• Identify and propose operational and process optimization initiatives, including synergies across ventures, to reduce costs, emissions, and increase uptime.
• Provide mentoring to Qatari engineers to support knowledge transfer and nationalization efforts.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (Master's is a plus).
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the oil & gas industry, including at least 5 years in gas processing plant operations or engineering.
• Proficient in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS) and advanced process analysis.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards and codes relevant to process engineering and gas operations.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, with ability to work independently and manage technical discussions across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
