Sr. Principal Process Engineer - LNG Expansion

Location: Doha, Qatar

We are looking for a highly experienced Sr. Principal Process Engineer to support the governance, performance monitoring, and optimization of LNG expansion assets. This role serves as a technical authority and strategic advisor, supporting asset managers through critical analysis, project interface, and process performance benchmarking.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze mass and energy balances, energy efficiency, and hydrocarbon recovery across LNG expansion JV assets.
• Lead benchmarking of operational performance and develop strategies to improve yields, cost, energy intensity, and reliability.
• Support commissioning, operational readiness, and startup of NFXP and Golden Pass projects to ensure high plant operability and maintainability.
• Act as a functional focal point for asset governance, supporting day-to-day decisions and long-term strategy development.
• Interface with JV Operators to identify performance improvement opportunities and influence action plans.
• Lead evaluation of new project proposals for competitiveness in scope, schedule, and cost.
• Drive implementation of climate and sustainability strategies across LNG assets.
• Conduct critical reviews of Work Programs & Budgets (WP&Bs) and long-term business plans to identify optimization opportunities.
• Ensure rigorous performance test runs and historical data analysis to set KPIs and benchmarks for future operations.
• Lead audits and reviews of energy reporting systems and ensure alignment with company standards and international best practices.
• Support JV board decisions by preparing technical input, board resolutions, and subcommittee participation.
• Champion lessons learned and continuous improvement across LNG projects and ventures.
• Mentor junior staff and Qatari engineers, contributing to nationalization and talent development programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 18 years of industry experience, with at least 7 years in LNG plant operations or engineering.
• Demonstrated mastery of process engineering disciplines, including design, integration, safety, and operations support.
• In-depth understanding of energy systems, process modeling, and asset performance benchmarking.
• Proven experience in project interfacing, commissioning, and startup.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient in MS Office tools and collaborative engineering environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing relationships with JV operators and partners.
