Have you got experience working as one to one? Would you like to support children with outside of mainstream settings? This tutor role will be ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant or have any experience working with children with additional needs and are looking for some flexible work. This tutor role involves working with children who may have additional needs or looked after. Being able to provide educational sessions, face to face with children at their homes or a local area e.g., library. Skills and experience such as planning resources around the child’s needs, (this could be likely on developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science) and keeping the child engaged with tasks are essential in this role. The location for this would vary dependent on the need of the pupil but would be pre-agreed prior to commencement of the tuition. What are we looking for in a tutor?
