Solar Site Manager

Site-based: Hitchin/Stevenage 

£55,000-70,000  + benefits

A global renewable EPC is recruiting for a site manager to oversee the delivery of a 50 MW solar farm. You must have previous experience in a similar role working on a UK solar farm. 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assess site engineering progress.
• Act as the primary liaison between contractors and clients.
• Manage subcontractors on-site, ensuring project goals are met.
• Monitor daily activities, including safety, contract compliance, and environmental standards.
• Maintain thorough site documentation, including daily logs and photographic records.
• Attend progress meetings and compile project snagging lists.

We're looking for someone with:

• SMSTS & additional construction qualifications
• Civil, Mechanical or electrical qualifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar construction management.
• HSE qualifications
• Proven ability to manage contractors in the energy sector.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Flexible, proactive approach with excellent organisational abilities.
• Experience in substation construction is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
