Financial Accountant

Salary: £40k - £45k depending on experience

Location: Salisbury, UK - Hybrid working available.

Full Time/Permanent - 37.5 Hours a Week

Are you an experienced 'Financial Accountant' looking for your next opportunity? Our client, a leading company in the audio manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated individual to join their dynamic Finance team in Salisbury.

In this 'Financial Accountant' role the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager with the general day to day accounting duties and month end closing.

'Financial Accountant' Main Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly overheads review and postings, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review and post monthly payroll values, monitoring variances against forecasts.
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to ensure robust financial controls and risk mitigation.
• Monitor reconciliation of control accounts including Debtors, Creditors, and Bank.
• Preparation of VAT returns and ensuring timely tax payments.
• Interface with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
• Supervise accounts payable/receivables processes as required.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications for this 'Financial Accountant' position:

• Proven experience in a similar financial accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
• Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred but not essential.
