We are recruiting for a permanent Multi Skilled Maintenance Person for Bournemouth University. This is a 6 month contract initially but extensions or permanent contracts always possible depending on requirement and performance. About the Role: The role encompasses all aspects of building maintenance across both the Talbot and Lansdowne campuses from basic repairs to refurbishment works, upgrades and new work within prestigious University buildings. A professional and high standard of workmanship is required to maintain buildings and services to the highest possible quality. Main Responsibilities Must be multi skilled and can demonstrate a good working knowledge within various building disciplines, including making good, plastering, painting, basic carpentry, basic plumbing & heating, civil works, tiling, glazing, roof repairs and locks. Salary: up to £24k per annum plus 10% shift allowance equating to an Annual salary of £26,400 Also plenty of overtime opportunities every week. On call is paid at £150.00 per week + overtime at 3hrs per call. Hours: 37 Hours per week, 20-minute break, 40-minute lunch break on an alternating 2 shift system.
