Purchasing and Inventory Manager - Stockport

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchasing and Inventory Manager to join an expanding designer and manufacturer based in Stockport.
The Purchasing and Inventory Manager will lead a team and be responsible for various commodities utilising a Global supply-base whilst striving for lowest Cost and highest Quality
Key Responsibilities for the Purchasing and Inventory Manager:
• Understanding the business needs and develop the supply chain to provide greater flexibility, whilst minimising inventory. • Establishing comprehensive sourcing, purchasing, and inventory control processes ensuring these are adhered to. • Identification and delivery of productivity savings. • Measuring and developing Supplier performance, New Supplier selection and approval, Supplier relationship management, Vendor Rating and Supplier Improvement and de-selection. • Collating, analysing and reporting performance of the Purchasing function (KPI driven) both at Business Unit and Corporate level.
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies
• Experience in developing, and growing a Purchasing team • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence, drive change and deliver process improvements. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under frequent changing priorities. • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
