A Central London firm is looking for a legal cashier to work part-time at their office located a 3 minute walk from Old Street Underground Station. The role initially will be part-time circa 20 hours per week but it is envisaged it will become full-time in the medium term, if desired.

The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:
" Monitor client account, check monies received and inform the relevant fee earners
" Daily Bank reconciliation
" Daily Bank reconciliations for Client and Office bank accounts.
" Daily balancing of controls to ensure all prior day's transactions and postings are processed under the firm policy and SAR's.
" Processing BACS, CHAPS, Faster and International Payments using Natwest Banking System.
" Posting all incoming and outgoings on to Proclaim/Eclipse system (Training can be given for Proclaim system)
" Identifying and allocating Office receipts and payments.
" Client to Office Account transfers.
" Preparing Debtors list for circulation to Fee earners
" Processing bills.
" Helping on various projects including inactive matters, residual balances and file storage.
" Maintaining an organised electronic filing system.
" Good understanding of the Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR's) and VAT Rules.
" Knowledge of AML Regulations.
" Resolving accounts queries,
" Working with fee earners on their ledger balances
