FTC MATERNITY CONTRACT

KPI Recruiting have partnered with a local Crewe based business with the recruitment of an experienced events manager working on a 14-month FTC covering maternity leave.

YOU NEW ROLE
To lead on the development, coordination and delivery of the company’s internal events. You will take the lead in this standalone post, and will be responsible for proving events admin support and ensure that H&S is established, managing a team of events coordinators and ensuring that all external events run smoothly. 

You will need to be responsible for the event budget, overseeing the expenditure and forecast any spend, implementation of events processes and procedures and create an events workflow plan. Additionally, you will also be responsible for funding applications and sponsorship development, ensuring compliance within internal policies and regulations, maintaining clear records and ensuring the events and volunteers are coordinated effectively. 

The successful candidate will be extremely well organised and have the ability to coordinate the recruitment and support volunteers for engagement in event and cultural delivery, oversee the full project management of the arts and culture function managing internal annual events. 

YOU WILL BE 

An ambassador for the business, you will promote the company brand and will act as a spokesperson for the company at meetings/ events, you will have demonstrated previous experience of public speaking and external event management. Due to the nature of the business, you will be responsible for event H&S and event compliance, ensuring that this works in conjunction with company policies and procedures. You will also maintain a PDP and ongoing training within this role. We are looking for someone creative and imaginative, with a strong understanding of events compliance. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines. Due to the nature of events, you will need to be flexible with working some evenings and weekends, as required, you will need a full UK driving licence to travel to the events and will be confident using IT systems. 

YOU WILL HAVE 

  • Previous experience within events organisation, this will be external/internal events (ideally outdoor events) 
  • A Minium of 5 years’ experience within events 
  • Knowledge of even planning, management of crowd safety and traffic management
  • Experience developing cultural programmes such as acts and artists 
  • Experience of leading on events operations and overseeing a team of events staff
  • Management of budgets and resources 
  • Succuss in securing funding
