Logistics Supervisor– Automotive Sector

Location: Weston-Super-Mare (BS24)
Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours average, 9-day fortnight

We are working on behalf of a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer with a long-established reputation for quality. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Logistics Supervisor (Assistant Core Controller) to join their Logistics department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics professional with strong leadership skills to play a key role in supporting operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer and business expectations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers to ensure sufficient parts availability in line with production requirements.
• Manage customer portals and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Oversee packaging recycling and re-use processes.
• Organise core shuttles and packaging to production sites.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a small team in line with company objectives.
• Manage yard activities including scrap collection, material movements, and cleanliness standards.
• Act as lead for scrap sales.
• Organise direct-to-line packaging deliveries.
• Produce monthly summary reports.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven logistical experience.
• ERP inventory software knowledge and stock control/inventory management experience.
• FLT/Counterbalance licence (essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Demonstrable leadership experience.
• Competent IT skills, including Office 365 and ERP systems.
