 Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant  - About the role!

As a Graduate TA, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support learning across the school, including:

• Assisting pupils aged 4–11 across Early Years, KS1, or KS2 depending on your strengths
• Providing 1:1 support and running small group interventions in literacy, numeracy and phonics
• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere
• Supporting children with additional learning needs (SEND/SEMH), where required
• Contributing to lesson activities and helping prepare learning resources

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates interested in teaching, educational psychology, or social care, offering direct exposure to the day-to-day running of a primary classroom.

What We’re Looking For - Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

We welcome applications from graduates who are:

• Educated to degree level (minimum 2:2, 2:1 preferred – Education, Psychology, English or related subjects are advantageous)
• Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills
• Positive, patient, and passionate about supporting young learners
• Ideally experienced in working with children (e.g. tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or volunteering)
