GSL Education are seeking a confident and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school in Aveley. This is a role starting in September 2025, ideal for someone looking to advance their education career while making a difference in pupils' learning journeys.

About the Role:

As an HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You’ll be expected to deliver planned lessons, provide targeted interventions, and offer in-class support to ensure all pupils are engaged and progressing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading small group and whole-class teaching when required.
• Supporting the class teacher in lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Delivering tailored interventions and supporting pupils with varying needs.
• Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students at all times.

Job Requirements:

• Holds HLTA status or relevant teaching support qualification.
• Proven experience in a primary education setting.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Able to take initiative and adapt to different classroom environments.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
