Sous Chef - £45k+ package

Our client, a luxury property situated in Fife, is now recruiting an additional Sous Chef to join this high-end culinary team due to increased demand and serious investment throughout this year.

A competitive salary of £40k plus tronc dividends and possible global career progression awaits the successful Sous Chef.

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will support and collaborate with the entire kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Being part of the senior culinary team, you will assist with menu development, train and develop the junior team, and maintain the kitchen equipment and working place to a high standard. Basically, you will be one of this kitchen's figureheads and lead by example.

Using fresh and local produce in the multiple food outlets of this operation, you will be aiming to gain accolades, focussing on 2 rosette level and above.

The Person

Previous experience as a Senior CDP or Sous Chef in a 4/5* hotel, fine dining restaurant, or a luxury property environment would be best suited.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-outlet environment while maintaining high standards is a must, with a focal point of using the best locally sourced products of the Scottish countryside larder.

It is desirable that your business acumen to date includes experience in kitchen administration i.e., efficient cost control, stock management, etc.

This will be a hands-on role, leading by example by running the pass as and when needed, so marshalling such a role should be evident in applying chef CVs.

Own transport is desirable, no live-in accommodation is available for this role.
