Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabrication Supervisor with a strong background in piping and structural fabrication within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting technical drawings, supervising fabrication teams, and using SAP (EAM/Maintenance module) to manage work orders and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the fabrication of piping spools and structural components as per project specifications.

• Interpret piping and structural drawings, identify material requirements, and plan work accordingly.

• Conduct on-site surveys and fouling studies; recommend and implement corrective actions.

• Lead, instruct, and coordinate the activities of welders and fabricators to ensure timely and quality execution.

• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation measures; prepare Job Safety Analyses (JSA).

• Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the fabrication process.

• Perform field-oriented verifications and dimensional checks using trigonometry where required.

• Understand and apply Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), including stress relieving requirements.

• Fabricate complex components such as mitre bends, cones, saddles, reducers, and transitions (e.g., round to square).

• Ensure effective resource utilization, team coordination, and daily activity reporting.

• Operate and supervise rigging activities and overhead EOT cranes as per certification.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Diploma in a relevant trade (10+3 system).

• Minimum 12 years of maintenance and fabrication experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries.

• Proficient in using the SAP EAM (Maintenance) module for managing work orders.

• Hands-on experience in fabrication techniques and metal development.

• Rigging and EOT Crane Operation Certification is mandatory.

• Strong communication, team management, and report writing skills.
