Location - Bristol (Hybrid) 

Contract - Fulltime, Permanent Position

Hours - 37.5per week, Monday - Friday

 

Purpose: MDE are proud to be supporting the growth of an international Logistics & Manufacturing business that are searching for an experienced Business Development Executive to lead theur successful and well-established Sales Team. This position involves managing the daily operations of the Sales function and overseeing the team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on the shop floor supporting the techincal side of the business as well as experience consulting with clients providing solutions to their requirments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Follow up on leads promptly and close orders within the required timeframe.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to team members.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts and meet or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Quickly assimilate the company dynamics to maximize sales and business performance.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and market research.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals to potential clients.

Management:

  • Oversee team work, allocate tasks, and monitor quality and productivity.
  • Approve holiday requests, ensuring effective annual leave management to maintain sufficient cover.
  • Provide continuous constructive feedback and support for team development.
  • Address work quality issues, employee conflicts, and other concerns promptly, with HR support as needed.
  • Conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Serve as a link between team members and Senior Management.
  • Set, manage, and achieve company-wide sales budgets and forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or warehousing environment preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Customer-focused and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Natural approach to sales with a passion for achieving sales targets.
  • Technically minded with an understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Dynamics is desirable.
  • Ability to take responsibility for own continued professional development.
