Staffline are recruiting for a Prison Custody Officer to work for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in the outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat.

*This role is based in Bridgend*

Earn £29,500 per annum, increasing to £31,500 based on length of service.

You will work across a variety of shifts in this full-time role.

Each week, you will work an average of 40 hours, with the option to increase to 44 hours per week (the starting salary for this would be £32,450 per annum).

The philosophy of G4S' prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outside community. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe.

*You must have indefinite leave to remain in the UK for this role*

Your Time at Work

Your time at work will consist of playing a key role in providing prisoners with structure and routine.

You will make sure prisoners are actively engaging in education or work within the prison regime and securing them in their cell in the evening.

The people in your care will have a variety of different needs. Your role is to ensure those individuals are treated with dignity and respect, to help them find a new way of life, in a safe, secure and structured environment.

Our perfect Prison Custody Officer would be able to demonstrate integrity, resilience and strong communication skills, to thrive in this role.

No specific qualifications or relevant experience are required in this role. Full training is provided, designed to equip successful candidates with the skills and knowledge to deliver every aspect of being an effective Prison Custody Officer.
