Assistant Solar Site Manager -  Leicester

Contract: 12-month term

Rate: DOE

Are you experienced in overseeing solar farm projects, either as an Assistant Site Manager or as a senior foreman involved in both hands-on delivery and site administration? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading construction firm in the renewable energy industry on a contract basis.

Role Overview:

  • Working closely with the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:Assisting with the on-site management of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects, including coordination of subcontractors.
  • Ensuring work quality meets contractual obligations.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to the highest HSQE standards, in line with UK HSE and CDM regulations.
  • Managing on-site logistics, overseeing project documentation, and identifying and escalating potential budget, schedule, or quality issues to the Project Management team.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with solar or battery storage projects in the UK.
  • Experience in site management or a supervisory role within construction projects.
  • Knowledgeable in civil, structural, or electrical engineering works.
  • SMSTS or SSTS certification.
  • Possession of a CSCS.
  • Possession of a clean UK driving licence.
