Job purpose:

The successful person will integrate into a small team to work safely and efficiently to complete works to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• General Electrical duties. Install, Test, Maintain and examination of all current carrying equipment up to 1000v ac, 1200v dc on water based assets
• Safe working knowledge of “Permit to work “ system
• Installation of Electrical equipment such as MCC panels, motors, control equipment inc all Electrically operated fixed and portable equipment
• Selection and erection of cable handling systems/ containment
• Fault finding on Electrical equipment such as panels, actuators or water based equipment
• Works can be varied and at times may be required to undertake other duties such as assisting Mechanicalor Civils engineering staff
• Responsibility for the use of a company van
• From time to time working away may be required
• Understand and sign onto all CPP/RAMS on Site and follow Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
• Always think Safety in mind and look after yourself and your colleagues.
• Wear all appropriate PPE.
• Call out 1 week every 4 / 5 weeks
• Any other duties assigned in line with the scope and seniority of the role

• To understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures
• Comply with company Health and Safety policies, procedures and codes of practice on site
• Demonstrate and uphold Company values

Competence Profile

Essential

• Electrical apprenticeship or level 3 Electrical  qualification as minimum
• Confined Space trained
• CSCS JIB Card holder
• SMSTS/ SSSTS qualified
• Ability to fault find on domestic & and industrial field experience of 415v.

• Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically.
• Ability to introduce new ideas and drive improvements with scope of the role
• Recognises the importance of a team ethos
• Willingness to undertake professional development, which may entail working in your time to achieve.

Desirable

• Panel Wiring
• Experience working on Rotork/ Auma actuators 
• Worked on water utilities
• Slinger signaller
• Pasma trainer
• First Aider
• HV Qualified, assessed and trained
• 2391 Test and Inspection

* Some working away will be required. Hotels and subsistence will be provided by the client.

Salary & Benefits

Salary – £15ph (£28,860pa)

Contract type – Permanent

Hours of work – 8am-4pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
