Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–16:00pm

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal applicant for this Science Graduate Unqualified Teacher role will have:

  • A 2:1 or higher in a Science or Science-related degree (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences or other Life & Physical sciences degrees)
  • Some previous school-based experience as a TA or LSA is desired but not essential
  • A real interest in teaching, with potential progression routes into Salaried Teacher Training available
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence in breaking down tougher concepts
  • An open nature and a positive, can-do attitude towards learning
  • Willingness to take advantage of training opportunities throughout

The Role

  • Plan and teach lessons on a partial timetable whilst you also learn the practice of what makes an exceptional teacher
  • Encourage exceptional progress outcomes
  • Build meaningful relationships with students that will positively influence their school experience
  • Enjoy the opportunity to apply your creativity and passion in engaging lessons that develop learners’ problem-solving skills and numerical confidence
  • Potential to enter a salaried route into teaching – Gain your QTS at this school in less than a year
