Project Planner – Civil Engineering & Groundworks

Based in West Yorkshire

Salary: Negotiable 40'000 - 50'000

We are recruiting on behalf of our client – a well-established and reputable Civil Engineering & Groundworks Contractor – for an experienced Planner.

Job Purpose:

The Project Planner will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring project schedules for civil engineering projects. The role involves ensuring that project timelines are realistic, coordinated with all stakeholders, and align with contractual and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.

• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather inputs for planning.

• Identify critical paths, key milestones, and resource requirements.

• Monitor project progress and prepare regular schedule updates and reports.

• Provide delay analysis and support in the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims.

• Support the commercial team with programme-related information and reports.

• Attend planning and progress meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with planning procedures and company standards.

• Maintain records and supporting documentation for audits and claims.
