Meter Reader / Meter Technician

£14.91 per hour, inc benefits

Temporary, full-time with possibility to permanent

Our client is a genuine employer of choice in the region and this is an exciting opportunity to join as a Meter Technician. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and excels in customer service.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Obtain accurate readings from water meters.
• Carry out meter exchanges.
• Collect data.
• Provide excellent customer service, acting as the customer’s champion.
• Complete meter reading related operations ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify and report maintenance needs, meter exchanges, and potential leaks.
• Conduct flow tests, replace lids, complete void inspections, and confirm correct plots to postal addresses.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in using handheld computers for data collection.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Manual Driving Licence to be able to drive a company vehicle

The successful candidate will need to be based within 30 minutes of Hartlepool and be ability to walk 3 to 8 miles per day.
