Construction Lead (Structural) - Permanent - Qatar/Oman

We are seeking an experienced Construction Lead (Structural) to oversee the structural fabrication requirements for the NFPS Compression Project. This role is based initially in Doha, Qatar, with a transition to Oman in 1st Quarter 2026. The assignment will continue in Oman until 1st Quarter 2029.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the fabrication of key structural components and ensure the successful execution of the project from yard activities to load-out.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all aspects of the Compression Platform Structural Fabrication, ensuring key objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule) are met or exceeded.
• Design & Constructability: Ensure that the design is constructible and aligns with established project engineering drawings, industry standards, and processes.
• Fabrication & Execution: Manage the fabrication process, supervise contractor/subcontractor activities, and ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, international standards, and project documentation.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Facilitate strong interfaces between company teams and contractors/subcontractors to resolve any issues and ensure project alignment.
• Progress Monitoring: Review contractor progress reports and identify critical issues. Recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Risk & Safety Management: Participate in risk assessments and ensure all activities comply with safety protocols and regulations during fabrication and execution.
• Quality Control: Supervise the mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of the project to ensure alignment with technical specifications.
• Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that deviations from standards are addressed and that complete and consistent documentation (e.g., construction dossiers, as-built reports) is delivered.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences.

Experience:

• 8 years in construction-related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up) within the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience in large-scale projects, especially in structural fabrication for offshore/onshore facilities or yard operations.
• In-depth knowledge of project execution procedures, including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing, and completions.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria for major fabrication, transport, installation, and brownfield execution.
• Familiarity with the risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
• Experience in working with large oil & gas companies, contractors, and heavy construction teams.
