Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Expeditor to oversee and manage the expediting process for a major international engineering project. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment, helping to keep the project running smoothly and on schedule. You'll work closely with suppliers, logistics, and project teams to ensure that all required materials and services are delivered as per the project's needs.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Expediting and monitoring the progress of purchase orders and deliverables, ensuring that materials, equipment, and services are delivered on schedule.
• Collaborating with procurement, logistics, and project management teams to meet project deadlines without delay.
• Tracking and updating the status of orders, vendor performance, delivery schedules, and any potential issues.
• Communicating with suppliers to resolve delays or issues and implement corrective actions.
• Reviewing material requisitions, purchase orders, and shipping documents to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Liaising with engineering and construction teams to ensure technical specifications and delivery timelines are met.
• Reporting on the status of materials, deliveries, and overall expediting activities.
• Managing logistics, including transportation schedules to ensure smooth delivery of materials to project sites.
• Troubleshooting discrepancies and issues related to shipments to keep the project on track.

   

Who We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field (highly valued).
• Professional qualification in Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in an expediting or supply chain role, ideally within large-scale projects.
• 3-4 years of experience in a relevant environment (EPC or Oil & Gas).
• Experience in GCC is a distinct advantage.

   

Key Skills & Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of expediting processes in large-scale projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage relationships, and resolve challenges.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with supply chain tools and software (e.g., SAP) to support your role.
• Solid understanding of procurement and contract terms related to expediting activities.
• ERP knowledge is essential, with SAP experience being highly beneficial.
