Senior Engineer, Package

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Package to join a leading organisation delivering major energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of mechanical package engineering, ensuring technical compliance and timely delivery of critical equipment.

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for independently determining and preparing requisitions for mechanical equipment packages required for major projects. This includes evaluating technical aspects of supplier bids and ensuring packages are delivered on time while meeting all technical and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret specifications and requirements for mechanical packaged equipment and systems, including Glycol Dehydration Packages, Chemical Injection Systems, H₂S Removal Packages, Produced Water Treatment Systems, Waste Heat Recovery Units (WHRU), Pressure Vessels, Pumps, and more.
• Oversee the mechanical design of packaged equipment, ensuring compliance with international standards such as ASME, API, and others.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and requisitions for packaged equipment and systems.
• Evaluate the technical aspects of supplier bids, providing clear assessments to support procurement decisions.
• Manage order placement and execution, independently reviewing supplier documents (e.g., datasheets, drawings) for accuracy and compliance.
• Act as the focal point for coordination, liaising with internal and external stakeholders throughout the procurement and execution process.
• Provide technical support for quality assurance at supplier facilities and during construction and commissioning phases.
• Resolve technical issues using expert knowledge and engineering expertise throughout the design, fabrication, and post-delivery phases.
• Ensure all activities align with industry regulations and demonstrate a high standard of professional and ethical behaviour.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the oil & gas sector.
• Prior experience in FPSO and offshore applications is highly desirable.
• Strong background in EPC projects, particularly in package engineering.
• Expertise in international design standards and industry codes, including ASME, API, NACE, and others.
