Warehouse Operative

Location: Bradley Stoke, Bristol

Salary: £12.00ph - £13.10

Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 17:00pm, Friday 08:00am – 13:00pm

MDE are recruiting on behalf of our manufacturing client, for enthusiastic and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join their dynamic team. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity with a company that values its employees and promotes personal growth, this role could be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operative, you will:

Warehouse Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse.

• Address housekeeping duties, including prompt response to spills or hazards.

 Health and Safety Compliance:

• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Report any concerns to the warehouse supervisor.

Receiving and Storing Goods:

• Manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods.

• Log and book all incoming stock into the system accurately.

• Conduct inspections for damages and quarantine defective stock.

Order Fulfilment:

• Pick, pack, and dispatch orders with precision.

• Follow standard operating procedures for secure and accurate packing.

• Ensure items are loaded correctly for shipping.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work effectively with the warehouse team and other departments.

• Report operational issues and contribute to solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift and move heavy items.

• Comfort with standing and repetitive tasks for extended periods.

 Work Ethic and Problem-Solving Abilities:

• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility:

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as required.
