HGV Technician, Hatfield, £17 - £20 per hour + Overtime Day Shift 06:00 - 18.00 4 on 4 off or Night Shift 18:00 – 06:00 4 on 4 off Due to growth and workload, Clemence Rogers are currently working in partnership with our client in the recruitment of an experienced HGV Technician to join an established multi-site commercial vehicle maintenance and fleet management company based in Hatfield. Reporting to the VMU Manager your key responsibilities would be; • Ensure quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair order • Attend needed trainings and obtain certifications in order to maintain and develop skills according to product portfolio • Provide high quality service and repair • Rectification ratio – Zero (Right first Time) • Work closely with the VMU manager to optimise the planning for technicians in the workshop • Communicate to the VMU manager the amount of parts and labour needed for additional repairs • Ensure all work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature • Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance • Maintain working capacity of machines and tools • Assure clean and safe workshop at all times (Health & Safety) • Carry out other responsibilities given by the Line Manager Preferred experience and knowledge; • Customer Focused • Goal and Achievement Oriented • Team Worker/Player • Technical knowledge to be able to convert symptoms to concrete actions • Communication to be able to provide factual information to both the customer and • Service mind-set to exceed the customer’s expectations • Recognises the need for actions and seeks guidance/approval. Possession of an appropriate valid truck driver's license (if required) • Product knowledge, Knowledge about the vehicles and equipment, keeping ahead of knowledge and information to ensure quality is always maintained • Flexibility - Adapt behaviour and provide creative solutions • Planning & organising as required to fulfil your duties • Business and commercial awareness General understanding of the value chain in any business. • Understanding of quality control Qualifications and technical skills; • City & Guilds qualified/certified or equivalent • To be punctual respecting all operational hours and duties • To have capability in managing the full range of responsibilities with high quality • LGV Licence preferably CE Category
