The Role:

  • Full-time, long-term Graduate English Teaching Assistant Role
  • Sociable working hours between 8:15 – 15:30, Mon/Fri
  • Support learners in English across all key stages

If you are an enthusiastic and articulate recent English Graduate, with a keen interest in secondary education, this role is for you. Relevant teaching experience is beneficial but not required for this position and full training will be provided to ensure your success as a Graduate English Teaching Assistant.

As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will assist English teachers in delivering engaging and challenging lessons. You may work 1:1 or in small-groups with learners who need additional support, particularly those preparing for GCSE and A-Level Literature and Language examinations. You'll help develop reading comprehension, essay-writing skills, and analytical techniques whilst fostering a genuine love of literature. Training and mentoring will be provided to ensure that you develop your teaching practice whilst utilising your academic background, critical thinking skills and passion for English.
