About the Role: Graduate Learning Support Assistant

  • Location: A highly regarded primary school in North Liverpool, just 10 minutes from the city centre, with excellent public transport links
  • Duration: Full-time, term-time position starting October 2025
  • Pay: Earn up to £530 per week
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 32.5 hours per week (term-time only)
  • Ideal for: Graduates with a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Education, or a related subject
  • Perfect for: Aspiring Teachers, Educational Psychologists, or those pursuing a future in Special Educational Needs (SEN)

In this rewarding role, you’ll provide individual and small-group support to pupils who need extra guidance, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve success. Working closely with class teachers and support professionals, you’ll play a key role in creating an inclusive and encouraging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
  • Assist teachers with engaging, interactive, and differentiated lessons
  • Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Use creative strategies to sustain focus and enthusiasm in learning
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists such as educational psychologists

What We’re Looking For

  • A graduate with a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • A strong passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A genuine interest in SEN, behaviour support, or child development
