RMS are working with a company who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of JCT Contracts and a background in managing large projects, ideally within a similar industry.

• Salary: Competitive salary of £45k-£50k (DOE)
• Location: Bridgwater
• Contract: Fixed Term (12 Months)

About the Role:

Working as a Quantity Surveyor responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and agree valuations with clients, ensuring payments are received in line with subcontract agreements.
• Accurately take off material quantities from drawings.
• Price contract variations and issue subcontract enquiries.
• Prepare subcontractor payment certificates and manage supply chain liabilities.
• Negotiate and place comprehensive subcontract orders.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting and cash flow forecasting.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts with main contractor QS.
• Liaise with estimating, design, purchasing, and contracts teams to track changes and control costs.
• Carry out general administration as required.

About You:

• Previous experience with a specialist sub-contractor (essential).
• Strong working knowledge of JCT Projects.
  
• Experience working on large-scale projects.
  
• Cladding knowledge desirable.
• Confident communicator across all disciplines and levels.
• Proactive, flexible approach with strong time management skills.
