Your Role – Graduate Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support learning across the Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 depending on your strengths and the school’s needs. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Assisting the class teacher during lessons and supporting group activities
• Delivering 1:1 and small group intervention sessions in key subjects like reading, phonics and maths
• Helping to reinforce behaviour expectations and learning routines
• Offering support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL)
• Working closely with SEN staff and learning mentors to ensure every pupil is included and engaged
• Encouraging confidence, communication and independence in pupils

Ideal Candidate Profile – Is This You? Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant

We’re looking for enthusiastic graduates who are:

• Educated to degree level (2:1 or higher preferred) – Psychology, Education, English, or related fields are desirable
• Genuinely passionate about child development and inclusive learning
• Proactive, resilient and confident working with children aged 4–11
• Interested in careers in teaching, educational psychology, or therapy
• Experienced working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work or volunteering)
