Job Title: Head, Commissioning

Position Summary

The Head of Commissioning will serve as the key focal point responsible and accountable for overseeing all aspects of commissioning-including engineering, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. The role ensures the delivery of systems in full compliance with project scope, engineering design, and stringent safety, environmental, and technical standards.

The incumbent will act as the primary interface between the EPIC contractor and the asset holder, leading the execution of commissioning activities from pre-FEED through to final handover, and driving alignment across disciplines to meet project milestones and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commissioning scope for the MM Redevelopment Project from engineering through execution and handover.
• Ensure commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standards, contractual obligations, and approved method statements.
• Review and approve EPIC contractor deliverables related to commissioning, including plans, procedures, schedules, ITPs, and risk assessments.
• Act as a liaison between the EPIC contractor, internal stakeholders, and asset teams to resolve interface and technical issues related to commissioning.
• Oversee multi-discipline commissioning teams and provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach.
• Monitor progress and proactively identify potential bottlenecks or risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain schedule and integrity.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations, environmental protocols, and quality control requirements during all phases of the commissioning lifecycle.
• Support audits, reviews, and readiness assessments for systems prior to start-up and ensure smooth handover to operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university.
• Additional qualifications in Safety, Quality Control, or Construction Management are highly desirable.

Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in commissioning and logistics execution of complex offshore, multi-discipline projects.
• Strong background in FEED and EPIC project phases with demonstrated ability to manage contractor interfaces and deliverables.
• Proven experience supervising multi-national, multi-disciplinary contractor teams in offshore environments.
• Deep understanding of commissioning practices, safety standards, engineering codes, and project lifecycle processes.

Skills

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
• Skilled in reviewing and interpreting technical documents, construction drawings, schedules, and test plans.
