Service and Breakdown Gas Engineer

Location: Durham / Teesside / Tyne & Wear (Whatever is local) 
Length: 10 weeks 
Rate: £19.62 - £21.99 per hour (PAYE)

Venn Group is currently working with a leading housing association covering Durham and Teesside / Tyne & Wear are looking for a Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer to join their team on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing faults on domestic gas appliances and heating systems

• Carrying out annual gas servicing in line with industry standards

• Responding to emergency callouts and breakdowns in a timely manner

• Working within occupied and void domestic properties across social housing stock

• Occasionally complete installation / swaps 

• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and internal procedures

• Providing excellent customer service and liaising with tenants where necessary

• Completing digital or paper-based certification and job reports

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating 

• Valid ACS Gas Safe qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CPA1)

• Proven experience in servicing and breakdowns within domestic settings

• Full UK Driving Licence 

• Experience in social housing or local authority contracts is highly desirable
