We are currently looking for a number of SPC's to work for us on the London Unground network on a nightshift.

You must have previous experience and the relevant qualifications.

A Site Person in Charge (SPC) plays a crucial role on the London Underground and is responsible for various aspects related to safety, work progress, and discipline. Here are the key responsibilities of an SPC:

1. Work in Progress: The SPC oversees the ongoing work at the site, ensuring that tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
2. Worksite Discipline: Maintaining discipline among the work group is essential. The SPC ensures that everyone adheres to safety protocols and follows the established procedures.
3. Programme of Work: The SPC manages the work schedule, ensuring that tasks are completed as planned and within the allocated time frame.
4. Tools, Plants, and Materials: The SPC oversees the availability and proper use of tools, equipment, and materials required for the job.
5. First Aid and Emergency Procedures: In case of emergencies or accidents, the SPC coordinates first aid and emergency response efforts.
6. General Health and Safety: The SPC ensures the overall safety of the work group, including reporting hazards via the EIRF system.
7. Certification and Sobriety Checks: The SPC verifies that all staff members have the correct certifications for the worksite location. Additionally, they check that no one is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
8. Setting Up a Safe Worksite: When establishing a worksite, the SPC evaluates risks, ensures adequate lighting, displays appropriate signage, and positions tools and equipment correctly.
9. Managing the Worksite: During work, the SPC ensures that the Safe System of Work (SSoW) is followed. Any deviations from the SSoW are addressed promptly.

You must live within travelling distance to our office in Rainham Essex before going out to site to various London Underground stations to fulfill your duties.

Hours are 2200-0600 Sunday -Thursday.
