 What You’ll Be Doing - Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your work will vary from day to day, but key responsibilities include:

• Supporting classroom learning in Reception, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
• Working with small groups and individuals to boost academic progress
• Delivering targeted interventions in reading, writing, maths or phonics
• Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEND or SEMH
• Creating engaging resources and helping with lesson prep
• Contributing to a safe, structured and stimulating classroom environment

You’ll be working under the guidance of experienced teachers and will gain valuable insight into how a successful classroom operates.

👤 Candidate Requirements - Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

We’re keen to hear from graduates who:

• Hold a 2:1 degree or above (Psychology, Education, English, or related fields preferred)
• Have strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Show a real interest in working with young children in an educational setting
• Ideally have some experience supporting or mentoring children (volunteering, tutoring, clubs, etc.)
