Completions Engineer (CMS Specialist)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Completion Engineer with a track record in FPSO projects? We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to plan, execute, and coordinate mechanical completion (MC) activities, ensuring smooth project handover and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Completion Planning & Preparation

• Develop and deliver MC project documentation in line with client requirements.
• Prepare Inspection & Test Record (ITR) portfolio, MC & Commissioning Handover Management documents, and ITR assignment matrix.
• Define MC procedures and work methodologies for project execution.
• Conduct supplier kick-off meetings (KOMs) to outline MC requirements.
• Develop vendor package ITR processes, including offsite MC execution (vendor works).
• Review engineering tag registers and supplier-issued tag registers, resolving discrepancies with the engineering team.
• Validate piping test pack registers and joint ID registers in coordination with QA/QC teams.
• Maintain and validate Completion Management System (CMS) data, ensuring accurate ITR & certificate assignments.
• Provide CMS training and roll-out plans to the project team and subcontractors.

Mechanical Completion Execution

• Manage project mechanical completion changes, updating databases accordingly.
• Generate weekly MC & Punch list reports and support construction meetings.
• Oversee ITR & Punch list updates in CMS, providing technical support to the site team.
• Coordinate Supplier Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) punch items for timely closure.
• Lead punch walkdown preparations, ensuring systematic certificate sign-off.
• Capture lessons learned and share with project teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Compile Mechanical Completion Dossiers (MCD) and System Completion Dossiers (SCD) for project handover.
• Archive all project handover documentation in the Document Management System.

Mechanical Completion Coordination

• Participate in engineering team meetings to resolve tag-related issues.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to address MC database queries.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure ITR completion aligns with commissioning priorities.
• Identify and implement lessons learned and best practices from past FPSO projects.

Relationship & Team Management

• Maintain strong relationships with client representatives, technical teams, and subcontractors.
• Foster a collaborative, multicultural team environment, offering training and mentorship.
• Report directly in line with the Corporate/Project Organization Chart.

HSEQ & Compliance

• Adhere to MODEC HSEQ Code of Conduct, HSSEQ policies, and 14 HSEQ standards.
• Ensure all personnel comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Uphold MODEC Group's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, ensuring regulatory compliance and ethical decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical College Certificate.

🔹 Experience

• 4+ years in EPC of onshore/offshore oil & gas or FPSO projects.
• Mechanical Completion & Commissioning experience on at least two FPSO projects (marine and topside modules).

Technical Competencies

• Proficient in Completion Management Systems (CMS) such as WinPCS, ICAPS, PIMS, CEMIC, Go-Completion.
• Strong skills in PDF Writer, Bluebeam, AutoCAD (basic), and MS Office Suite.
• Hands-on experience with FPSO systems mechanical completion & commissioning.
• Sound understanding of mechanical completion processes, project management, QA/QC, and HSE standards.
