Maintenace Electrician - Manufacturing experience

Based in Washington - Tyne and Wear

£22 Per hour PAYE 

For the Maintenance Electrician the base rate is £22 p/h paye, it’s a 3 shift pattern which attracts a 25% uplift on the £22.00 p/h.

Shift rotas :

• Afternoon           13:25 - 21:05 (Monday to Thursday), 12:10 – 16:30 (Friday)
• Morning              06:00 - 13:40 (Monday to Thursday), 06:00 – 12:20 ( Friday)
• Nights                   20:55 – 06:10 (Monday to Thursday)

6 Months contract initially.

CDS Recruitment and Training Ltd have been asked to search for a Maintenance Electrician to work on a manufacturing site in Washington, The client are an internationally recognised business with increasing production requirments requiring the new opportunity.

The position will be to execute work activities associated with manufacturing including planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response/repairs and work requests.

Job Role 

The Maintenance Electrician will report to the Maintenance Supervisors and line management across a 24/5 shift pattern at site, executing a varied range of activities that protect the Washington site and ensure capability for manufacturing teams to perform their duties.

Site maintenance & installation activities within competencies 

Minor/major repairs within competencies

Breakdown response & diagnostics to resolve manufacturing equipment issues

Support to contractors during technical works

Attendance at site operational meetings as required

Execution of work orders from the site CMMS

Update of work order details to maintain the asset database for the site on all works performed

The production of parts lists and material requests associated with repair and maintenance activities

Responsibility for work order completion

Problem solving (cause, remedial action and corrective action)

Knowledge and working experience working with PLC, CNC machinery

Ability to fault find on automated plant equipment

Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new ideas

Team working across shifts through handovers and alongside other staff

Work at height & MEWP license

Key qualifications

Time served Electrician (HNC/HND)

17th/18th Edition Wiring Regualation Qualification

Experience in working in blue-chip industries with time pressure & performance metrics
